Views from a Sunday soul mission last month with my old friend @lorynlongboards-Loryn is a fellow Michigan native that I’ve been fortunate to know for the past five years through collaboration across the ski/resort industry. As a client, she’s filled the role of “talent” many times during shoots where we needed the right athlete in front of camera to nail the shot. I was intrigued to hear that Loryn had decided to lace back up and compete again in the downhill skateboarding circuit after a brief hiatus in the sport. That decision to return earned her a ticket to compete at the upcoming World Skate Games in Argentina this fall, representing the United States. My solo camera work does little justice to capture the skill and guts these athletes have to hurtle down these stretches of pavement.
