The Garmin team approached AMP to collaborate on the launch campaign for the updated InReach Mini 2 handheld satellite communicator. Their creative concept centered around print ads featuring 'off the grid' adventure scenes that incorporated natural terrain formations resembling a 'message bubble.' Asked to capture high alpine adventures from trail running to backcountry skiing within a one week production window, location choice was pivotal to the campaign's success. Extensive research and prior experience led us to propose the South Central region of Alaska as our setting. This area offered aspirational high alpine terrain with dual-season weather conditions (winter and fall) during our early fall production window. The final print ads earned inclusion in the Communication Arts 2023 Photo Annual.
